(okay, i'm a little behind.) the Seattle Reads book for this year is
Little Bee by Chris Cleve. if you have not read it yet, i suggest you do so. while i'm not a fan of the marketing they used here in america, this is a very powerful book no matter which way you turn it.
Book-It usually works with Seattle Public Libraries to adapt the Seattle Reads book, and they did so again this year. Chris Cleve was on hand to watch the proceedings. and hip-hip hurrah! he loved the reading. loved it. all of us book-iteers could not be prouder.
and seriously, read the book.
